Even though we still have a couple months of wintery weather to go, we’re starting to think spring at The Rare Pair! An early shipment of spring scarves has us in the mood for sunny, breezy days when it takes nothing more than a trench coat and a lightweight scarf to keep you comfortable!
Sometimes it’s tricky to know exactly how to wear a scarf. Do you loop it once around? Tie a complicated knot? Wrap once and toss over a shoulder? Luckily, there’s really no wrong way to wear a scarf. I’ve found that the best looks are often the most simple.
Here are four ways I like to wear a scarf:
(Starting from top left, going clockwise: The Magic Trick, The Hidden Loop, The European Loop, The Modern One Loop. See the awesome video below for a complete how-to!)
This adorable video is a visual guide of 25 ways to wear scarves – and I know I’ll definitely be trying a few this week! My favorites, in addition to the four pictured above, are The Infinity, The Mira and The Celebrity.
What looks will you try?

After many years of carrying Harvey’s Seatbelt Bags, The Rare Pair has decided that it’s time to try something new. It’s always sad to say goodbye to a brand, but it’s also exciting because it means there will be room for fresh new merchandise! And lucky for you – we’re marking all Seatbelt Bags 20% off until they’re gone! We’ve still got plenty of bags and wallets, so hurry in to score a deal!
Here’s a sample of what we’ve got in stock:
To celebrate a successful (albeit exhausting) holiday season, our wonderful boss took her Rare Pair employees to a showing of Forever Plaid at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres last Friday night. In past years, our Christmas party has happened in March or April, so we were all proud to celebrate our Christmas party in December – a true feat! It was a fun and festive evening full of laughs, classic 1950’s tunes and all our favorite Christmas songs.
Never one to stray from a theme, Krin asked that we all wear a touch of plaid to the show, encouraged us to work plaid into our gift exchange and gifted us a little something plaid as well (Thanks, Krin!). Throughout the show, the singers wore plaid, carried plaid accessories and wished the audience “Plaid Tidings” this holiday season – and all I could think was, “Man, I’ll bet Krin is wondering where they got those plaid suitcases because they’d have sure looked great in our holiday window display!” And I was right! That’s exactly what she was thinking.
Forever Plaid’s December run has come to a close, but the show is returning to the Chanhassen for a limited engagement in January! It re-opens on January 10, so click here to buy tickets now! It’s got The Rare Pair’s stamp of approval!
